Who runs the tables

Two hands are dealt: Player and Banker. You bet on which hand will finish closer to 9, or on a tie. Tens and face cards count as zero, and only the last digit of a total counts, so 7 + 8 = 15 scores 5.
Both hands follow fixed drawing rules, so you make one decision only: which side to back. Banker wins slightly more often, which is why most tables take a small commission on Banker wins.

Online baccarat: card values, drawing and payouts

Payouts vary between studios and tables. The paytable shown on the table you're playing is the one that applies.
Reading the roads
Most baccarat tables show scoreboards called roads. The Bead Plate lists every result in order. The Big Road groups wins by the same side into columns, and the smaller derived roads track patterns within the Big Road.
Roads are a record of what has already happened. Past hands don't predict the next one in any useful way, so a long Banker streak doesn't make Player "due".
Side bets
- Player Pair / Banker Pair: the first two cards of that hand form a pair.
- Side bets pay more than the main bets but win far less often.
- Each table lists its own side-bet payouts.
Roulette, blackjack, sic bo and dragon tiger
Roulette
European roulette has 37 pockets, numbered 0 to 36. A single-number bet pays 35 to 1. Outside bets such as red/black or odd/even pay 1 to 1 and lose if the ball lands on zero.
Blackjack
Beat the dealer's total without going over 21. You can hit, stand, double down or split pairs. A blackjack (an ace plus a ten-value card) usually pays 3 to 2; each table states its own dealer rules.
Sic Bo
Three dice are shaken. Small wins on totals of 4 to 10 and Big on 11 to 17, both at 1 to 1, but both lose on any triple. Bets on exact totals and triples pay more.
Dragon Tiger
One card each to Dragon and Tiger, and the higher card wins, with ace low. Tie is a separate bet, and on many tables a tie costs half of a Dragon or Tiger stake.
